about eoawf

Welcome to edification of a wildflower. I’m honored to share this journey with you, one post at a time!

& about me

Hi, I’m Diana!

I love to write. Always have, always will. I created eoawf to share my thoughts and passions, hoping to pass on the knowledge that has changed the way I live my life with anyone willing to hear it.

In April 2024, I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a minor in gender and women’s studies. After completing my degree, I decided to go back to school for clinical herbalism — I’m excited to say I begin my journey with herbal medicine at ArborVitae in the fall!

When I’m not busy with school, I enjoy cooking, going to the gym, listening to music, being in nature, trying new food spots and reading.

A little more on my background…

My mother has had an incredible impact on my values and passions; to not mention her influence would be a disservice. She sparked my love for nature at a young age and taught me much of what I know. When we were kids, she excitedly showed my siblings and I how she made her own deodorants, lotions, and chapsticks, taking the time to explain the elements of each and why they worked together. On sick days, a jar of onion cough syrup sat next to the stove, patiently waiting to be mixed with a cup of hot lemon water and cayenne pepper. You could always count on finding a huge jar of coconut oil in the house. Our family just couldn’t live without it. We used it for everything.

My early introduction to aspects of natural living inspired me to make similar decisions as an adult, now acting with the realization that a more natural way of living is better for the body, mind, and environment. I find it fulfilling to practice habits that positively impact myself and my community.

Through my writing, I hope to demonstrate the value in working with nature to not only heal the body, but also to live in constant harmony with it. Please read on and explore if you are curious about a new way of pursuing wellness. Only you can mold that curiosity into action.

xoxo,

Diana
